About Octopus

You don’t need eight legs to play an Octopus ukulele (it might even be a disadvantage).

We started creating our entertaining entry level instruments in May 2013 and have from the outset concentrated on making the ukulele fun to play and learn.

Our ukes are colourful and won’t break the bank, but don’t let that fool you – they’ve been designed with longevity in mind by musicians who know their stuff. You simply won’t find a better ukulele for beginners, and advanced players will also be pleasantly surprised at their quality.

At present we produce standard soprano and concert ukuleles in a variety of colours and finishes as well as a selection of useful accessories, but check in again soon as we plan to create new designs as time goes on. You’ll find our wares at all good musical instrument suppliers, so swim down to your local shop today and wrap your tentacles around an Octopus ukulele!

About our instruments

All of our models feature solid rosewood fretboards and bridges, and mahogany necks ensuring long life and consistent tone. The tuning pegs are geared like a guitar meaning the strings are easier to tighten and will hold their pitch for longer. Every edge and all the frets have been smoothed and finished to a standard higher than many more expensive instruments.

Each ukulele comes fitted with Aquila Nylgut strings as standard, the best in the world for intonation and tone.

When not in use your Octopus can protect itself from spills and splashes by hiding in your handy carry case, supplied free with every instrument.

It’s more fun with an Octopus

The most important ingredient in our instruments is fun. Whether you’re buying an Octopus for yourself or for a friend, we hope it’ll bring extra hours of enjoyment to your music making.
