Good uke, amazing price!

Bought as something to decorate rather than play. Has good geared machine heads and quality strings rather than toy fishing line often found on cheap instruments. It’s amazing value, plays well, has stable tuning and sounds pretty good. I have a few ukes. In this price bracket, this is the one to get.

I recommend

I purchased an octopus soprano ukulele. It is equipped with Aquila strings, which are very good quality, giving good tone and retaining their tuning. The uke is as described with a bright accurate sound… I recommend.

Definitely recommend it to ukulele newcomers

I was pretty surprised on picking it up that it felt pretty solid, it has a nice weight to it and feels quite robust from that perspective it s definitely a uke that is probably about as child-friendly as it could be. I’d definitely recommend it to ukulele newcomers on a budget and I think it would make a very rugged uke for younger children

fun to play… ideal for a beginner

This inexpensive ukulele is ideal for a beginner. It is finished well and has a reasonably good tone for such s cheap instrument. It has aquilla strings fitted and, after the usual period of playing them in, they stay in tune. I have 4 ukuleles but still found this one fun to play. I bought it for my grandson who was delighted with it. I’m not too sure about the metallic black finish but he liked it. The bag is a useful addition although it is not padded.

bought for my partner and he just loves it

Purchased this ukulele in metallic black for my partner and he just loves it. The quality of which it is built is excellent and a lovely sound due to the aquila nylgut strings . Even though it is a beginners ukulele he can’t seem to think about purchasing a more expensive one , well not at the moment

Great!

This is my first ukulele and I think it’s great. I bought the mint green and the colour is as advertised. Came on time with a bag that fits it just right. The ukulele doesn’t come tuned, but it’s easy to tune yourself. Just download a ukulele tuner on your phone or buy a real tuner and you should be good to go. Initial tuning might be a bit intimidating for those who’ve never tuned a guitar or uke before like me. But the strings held and didn’t snap. The uke easily goes out of tune the first couple of days, but will improve as you keep using it for a few days. After a week’s use mine still goes out of tune, but only by a small bit as compared to the first day, so it doesn’t bother me.

Great little Ukulele

Great little Ukulele – has a nice sound for the price and is more comfortable to play than cheaper Ukuleles. It also has a lovely finish and is very smooth

Wonderful Uke – Keep an an Eye on this New Comer!

I looked long and hard for this uke. Last I heard, there was no US distributor, so after several months of searching, I wound up ordering from England (I have the purple burst version). It was well worth the wait! The first thing I noticed was that it is absolutely gorgeous to look at – without being gaudy, it stands out in a crowd. Simple elegance. It feel great to the touch. It’s smooth, comfortable – I swannee, it snuggled up to me! The strings are Aquila. The tuning gears have a stickiness to them that I didn’t care much for, like they’re too tight. I don’t know if they will loosen up over time or not. Not a big problem, though. It’s already holding the tuning. The knobs are rubberized, which is unique and cool. The real test, of course, is in the playability, and she does not disappoint. The action is just about perfect! The tone is robust – great volume and a sweet, mellow voice. And even with postage across the pond, I paid less for this than I would for a new Dolphin. And you know, I do love my Dolphins and Sharks!

Some folks call the Octopus a “Dolphin killer”. I don’t know if that’s true, but I’ll tell you this – it is every bit as great as a Dolphin, and I don’t say that lightly because I am a Dolphin addict. Let’s say the pod has a new member!

You will love this uke!

Fabulous quality instrument

I am host to my Schools Ukulele Club and have recently purchased a Concert size Octopus to augment our large collection of Soprano ones. The Octopus brand is excellent value for money. They are very well made and fitted with quality Aquila strings. And they sound very good too. I would say it’s the best starter Ukulele brand available.
